LLC Records (llcrecords.com) is a private business records and filing assistance service, located at 1089 Bailey Ave B-10, Chattanooga, TN 37404. We are not a government agency and are not affiliated with the IRS or any state. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Public business records
Our LLC pages show information that states publish about newly formed businesses: company name, filing number, status, formation date, entity type, registered agent, and the names of organizers, managers or members listed in the filing. We show the city only, never a street address for individuals. If a listing is about you and you want it corrected or removed, use our removal or correction page.
Information you give us
- Email address when you sign up for deadline reminders, create an account, or place an order.
- Business details such as owner names, ownership percentages, addresses and contact emails, which we use to prepare your documents.
- EIN application details, including a Social Security Number if you order an EIN filing. The SSN is encrypted when you submit it, used only to file your application with the IRS, and deleted after filing.
- Messages you send to our support address.
Identity verification
Before we file an EIN, release a Banking Resolution, or file an annual report, we ask you to verify your identity with a government photo ID and a selfie. This is handled by Stripe Identity. Your ID images and selfie are collected and stored by Stripe, not by us. We receive the verification result and the verified details we need to confirm you are authorized to act for the business. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. If you turn on automatic annual report filing, Stripe saves your card so we can charge the amounts shown before you agreed.
How we use your information
- To provide the services you order and file on your behalf.
- To send account, order and deadline reminder emails.
- To send occasional emails about services for your LLC. Every one of these has an unsubscribe link.
- To prevent fraud and to protect business owners from unauthorized filings.
- To comply with the law.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share information only with:
- Service providers that run our service: Stripe (payments and identity verification), Cloudflare (hosting and security) and Resend (email delivery).
- Government agencies, such as the IRS or a state filing office, when you ask us to file something for you.
- Authorities, if required by law or to protect against fraud.
Cookies
We use one cookie to keep you signed in to your account. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep account and order information while your account is active and as needed for tax, accounting and legal records. SSNs are deleted after the EIN filing is submitted. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email. You can ask us to access, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing support@llcrecords.com. We will respond within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) everywhere, encrypt sensitive data such as SSNs, and limit access to the information needed to provide our services. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Children
Our services are for business owners and are not directed to anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
